This past month and half of the Tulane pharmacology program I learned a lot of valuable information that developed me to become a more informative student in the career that I would love to pursue. We have covered interesting topics like inflammatory drugs, NSAID and more. I have learned a lot about pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics in the past month and half. This program has improved my understanding of how the body interacts with the drugs and how drugs could interfere with each other. I have learned how drugs could be inhibited, induced and metabolized. We have had interesting seminars in the past month of amazing doctors that had amazing research that expanded my medical field knowledge. From those seminars I have learned about the function of Astrocytes regulation of the cerebrovascular function, mitochondrial dynamics in the cerebral circulation, sex differences and aging,  the treatment of HIV and how mice could be humanized in a way that could be used to treat HIV. All of these research studies have expanded my knowledge of the medical field and made me look at the medical field in a different point of view. Those seminars have also encouraged me in researching topics of interest and rethinking about research or new methods that could improve the medical field. I always had a goal of creating an antidote that could reverse resorption in teeth. I have been researching this topic for a couple years and this past month of being in the pharmacology program has improved my understanding of research. Those amazing seminars and  pharmacology courses that I have been taking have helped in getting closer to my goal of my drug recherch that could be a game changer for the dental field.
